# Summary - Project 39

# Identify features they both have and how they compare.

- Templates:
  - Webflow has a big variety of ready-to-use templates for every category. Redocly has only 3.
- "Get started" guide
- Webflow has "Publish" option as well to host created website. However, Redocly has it automated for preview(branches). merge to main automatically triggers publish to production.
- Both platforms contain paid plans. In addition, for some of the features Webflow has screenshots included that are useful for new customers so they can see what this item actually makes:

- Both platforms contain Webview where user may see the result. Webflow has a bit more advanced settings that could be applied like "Color blind"
- Both paltforms contain UI validation (broken links or some other errors). Webflow has Audits that are more UI related components like no duplicate ID, invalid styles etc.

# Highlight features that are unique to each platform.

- Webflow is more about UI editing with no possibility to check/edit the code itself, so it is for more basic stuff. Redocly could be used to create more complex pages, ejecting React components, making API calls, gathering information and display it dynamically.
- Webflow has "Apps" that are created by 3rd party companies which extend the functionality of the project. F.e. there is "Figma" extension that converts designs into a website

- Redocly has a possibility to add a remote content which is nice if we want to embed some additional pages to our marketing site (f.e. docs) that are hosted in a separate repo.
- Webflow contains AI assistant. It looks like it just takes some predefined templates with already existing page and tries to adjust styling but failed. Also, there was not possibility to provide additional requirement. It would be greate to have AI integrated in Redocly editor as well.

# Provide commentary on which features are most critical and why.

- For marketing site it is crucial to have good SEO optimisation. Webflow has a whole section related to that:

- It is great to see UI changes instantly and it works great in webflow. Redocly WebView sometimes needs to be fully restarted.
- Crucial feature is AI assistant. Even non-experienced users may create more advanced pages and learn faster about the coding/platform using AI.


# Summary

- Both products have some similar points, but they try to cover two different categories of applications. Redocly specializes more on advanced applications, and Webflow is about UI and web pages.
